CoCo Communicator

CoCo™ Communicator is an application that combines the features of a softphone, walkie-talkie (depending upon hardware form factor), and message center in addition to providing remote camera viewing capabilities. CoCo Communicator software can be installed on PDAs and on desktop and laptop computers.

Devices with CoCo Communicator installed can communicate directly with one another by way of peer-to-peer intercom or with wireless carriers and PSTN phones by way of voice calls or conferences; they can also view real-time video from a CoCo Mesh Router with Camera, and communicate with Land Mobile Radios by way of conferences.

Used alone, CoCo Phone can communicate with CoCo Mesh Routers in camera mode and with other CoCo Phones by way of an intercom. Used in conjunction with a CoCo Conference Server, they gain communicability by way of conference groups, ticker messages, and telephone calls.

An Evolution Data Optimized (EVDO) cellular data card provides wireless mobility with faster network transmission speeds. Cingular provides GPRS/EDGE, and Verizon and Sprint provide EVDO data card options that transform a laptop into a mobile interoperable communications center when combined with CoCo Communicator software.
